Sooooooo, umm yeah its been awhile.....

my life has now been caught up in going back to school

yep, thats right back to school

I'm going to Weber and have started back working on

my prerequisites that i didn't finish 12 years ago :)

Its been a crazy adventure that has seemed to take over my life

I've actually done quite a bit of photography sessions

over the past little while but have decided to finally put

that mostly on hold for now....i have felt lately that i haven't been able to

put the time i've wanted in taking my own family's pictures...

i would get so busy taking and editing other peoples pictures

that i neglected my own.....

Now this doesn't mean i've given it up completely...

i really do love taking pictures...

i'm just taking a small break to enjoy my family!!

I made some time a few months ago and took

some sweet pictures of my kiddos...

it had been so long since i've been able to do that

and if felt awesome!!!!

my kids are amazing.....sure there was some

serious bribery.....and Owen

(who is not a fan of picture taking)

told me i could only take 10.....

and was not to happy when we went waaay past that ;)

and there was always the fear that some random train

would run us over.. (nick was our watcher, and protector)

I also realize that the train pictures seem a bit overdone

but i don't care......... to me every picture

that involves the kiddos are special-

I most likely won't be posting anthing

in the near future

(i'm doing some other fun ways to remember

the day to day stuff)

but i did promise my mom that i would update

and who better to take up my blog

then my kids!!!

i have to bribe you, beg and plead

so finally you relent....only to let me take

* So, owen has a playgroup- he has 4 close little friends

* it was our turn

* you would think being the halloween season

that i would do something fun and memorable

no, no, not at this house ;)

they spent the entire hour and a half

glued to a cartoon scooby doo movie on netflix

then during lunch they took turns telling halloween stories

all of them involved poop and burning something

it was quite delightful

but guess what

some of them said it was the best playgroup ever

no kidding

sitting and doing nothing but watch a movie
ahhh the life of a 5 year old

who needs to be playing outside and getting exercise

no, no its all about the sweet life ;)

so if anywho else out there is in need of great playgroup

you can call on me !!!! hahahahaha

I've been taking a lot of pictures with my point and shoot

its just to darn convienent-plus i keep it in my purse

and i love to capture the video with it

maybe if your lucky i will share their halloween stories

i filmed it of course- so super funny

I realize that I'm waaaaaaay far from keeping updated

on this blog but I thought I would share some of the few

(and I mean few) that Owen Powen would let me take of him

one Sunday at Grandma Jeans house around his b-day

(which was waaaaay back in Aug)

I can't believe my little boy is 4!!!!!

(this is his "normal smile" for most pictures)

Anyone who knows Owies know that this is "his face"
You just look at him wrong and he's ready to wrestle......
.......use his super ninja skills...............or perhaps take out unsuspecting persons




and yet......







He has one of the sweetest little faces you could ever ask for :)

so good to share his food
(even candy....with his chubby mom ;)

a good little brother
(though sometimes a bit crazy....wonder where he gets that....)
the best cuddler around
a good singer and loves primary songs
getting so big
(doesn't need dear old mom as much as he used to)
not a shopper
all about cars and transformers
my clean up and & destroy the house buddy
the sweetest dancer I know

Bath time is quite an adventure at our house

(especially when it hasn't happened in a while....

I won't tell you how long because....well....

its wrong on so many levels ;) hahahaha)

Anywho, little Owies usually will get only one toy

and play with it the entire time

(Bailey is a different story all together.... she coordinates

every barbie and accesory to go into her tub time :)

Anywho, Owies chose the top of his bubble

bath lid which happened to be Superman!

Imagine him saying bmmmmmmmmm

with great enthusiasm.

(and how can you not love those

big ol puckered lips ;)

* Dressing a 3 year old*

So like most moms, I have one child who struggles to get

dressed in the morings..........This is how we start our day......

Delicious bowl of oatmeal....yes that seems very healthy until you hear I

put extra spinkles in it so he'll eat it.......I know... Mom of the Year!

By this time, Bailey has left for school and its about 9:00 am

We then watch some cartoons... I attempt at doing the dishes and

then I decide its probably time to get dressed for the day

10:00-10:30 am. So off we go to his room.......

He then jumps on his bed (which I encourage because by golly it
wears him out ;) and then we talk about why we have his name
above his bed..... Owen: "why do you put my name on the wall"
Me: "because I thought it would be nice" Owen: "well.....
thats because I'm pretty cool!" Me: "why yes you are"



Then he decides it would be a great time to "count his munnies"
"mom, I have sooo many munnies....we have to count them"


Me: "Owen its time to get some clothes on"
Owen: "but mom, my cars need to race or they won't wake up!!"

So we progress into the Shake n Go car crash races--





By now its almost lunch time.......
Owen: "mom, I need to do my computer games, I want
to do the circle one !(PBS Kids)" "Mom, I'm a bobble head genious!"
(I have no idea where that name came from!)

His navigational skills on the computer are quite
cool....... a sweet little computer dude in the making!


He then is bored and decides to run from me and hide on the couch
****He does offer his foot for the picture though*****




After lunch sometime we have progressed to just pants...

This is what a typical day of getting ready is all about...

and I wouldn't trade it for AnYtHiNg!!!!

I've felt like I haven't been able to post in ages

(I've been called to the YW's and so craziness abounds,

but now New Beginnings is over, so perhaps I could start posting

more regular!!)

I can't believe my baby boy is 3!! His b-day was a wee bit ago &

I've been slacking on my blog. So anywho, my sweet boy will only

give me a few smiles before he takes off- so to get this picture of

him showing how he does 3 is just fabulous :)

So anywho, I was leaving for the weekend with my hubby

for our anniversary so I quickly made this invite for the fam

to have on Sunday- I kid you not 15 min of design and 10 min to

figure out where to send it. I don't think it turned out half bad-

I left out some of our personal info-

so it looks a wee bit crazy at the bottom

I can't believe how fast time goes!

I'm just glad with all his crazy little antics-

he'll still give me great big hugs and still

want to snuggle with me at night
